Como Usar Mustn't e Don't have to

Mustn't

significa que algo é proibido ou não é permitido.

Don't Have to 

significa que não há obrigação de fazer algo. Não é necessário, você só faz se quiser. 

Compare:

You mustn't do it.

(Você não deve fazer isso.)

É proibido fazer isso. Não é permitido.

You don't have to do it.

(Você não precisa fazer isso.)

Você pode fazer isso se quiser, mas não é necessário. Você decide se quer ou não.

Como usar Must e Mustn't

MUST

Significa dever.

Após MUST o verbo é usado no infinitivo sem TO.
Exemplo:
You must go.

(Você deve ir.)

Must fica igual para todos os sujeitos:

MUST é usado para:

1) Necessidade, Obrigação ou Dever

Exemplos: 

I must go now. 

(Eu devo ir agora.)

Plants must have light and water to grow.

(As plantas devem ter luz e água para crescer.)

You must wear a uniform. 

(Você deve usar um uniforme.)

They must follow the rules.

(Eles devem seguir as regras.)

2) Dedução

Exemplo: 

He worked hard. He must be tired. 

(Ele trabalhou muito. Ele deve estar cansado.)

3) Recomendação ou Conselho
Must pode ser usado para uma recomendação ou conselho mais forte e intenso que should.

Exemplos:
The cakes here are delicious. You must try one.
(Os bolos aqui são deliciosos. Você deve experimentar um.)

You must see that movie. It’s fantastic.

(Você deve assistir esse filme. É fantástico.)

4) A forma negativa MUSTN'T expressa Proibição.

Exemplos:  

You must not talk to strangers. 

(Você não deve falar com desconhecidos.)

We mustn't make noise.  

(Não devemos fazer barulho.)

You mustn’t use your phone while you are driving.

(Você não deve usar seu telefone enquanto estiver dirigindo.)

Students mustn’t talk during the exam.

(Os alunos não devem falar durante a prova.)
