Forma Afirmativa do Present Continuous Tense

O Present Continuous é formado com: Verbo to Be + Verbo +ING

Forma Afirmativa do Verbo Eat (comer)

Exemplos:

You are eating.

(Você está comendo.) 

I am studying. 

(Eu estou estudando .)

He is working. 

(Ele está trabalhando.)

She is reading. 

(Ela está lendo.)

They are cooking now. 

(Eles estão cozinhando agora.)

We are writing. 

(Nós estamos escrevendo)

USO:

O Present Continuous é usado para expressar algo que está acontecendo no momento em que falamos.

Com este uso, o Present Continuous pode vir acompanhado de palavras como: 

now = (agora)

at the moment = (no momento)

right now = (agora mesmo)

Exemplo:

They are traveling at the moment. 

(Eles estão viajando no momento.)

Forma Interrogativa do Simple Past Tense

Para formar uma oração interrogativa no Simple Past, usa-se o verbo auxiliar DID 

antes do sujeito. 

O verbo principal permanece no infinitivo sem TO.

Exemplo do Verbo TO Walk (caminhar)

Forma Interrogativa

Did	I	walk?
Did	You	walk?
Did	He	walk?
Did	She	walk?
Did	It	walk?
Did	We	walk?
Did	You	walk?
Did	They	walk?

Exemplos:

Did he walk yesterday?

(Ele caminhou ontem?)

Did you close the door last night? 

(Você fechou a porta ontem à noite?)

Como perguntar a data do aniversário em inglês?

Observação:

Usamos a preposição ON para o mês com o dia.

It's on April 11th.
(É no dia 11 de abril.)

Se usarmos apenas o mês, a preposição usada é IN.

It's in April.
(É em abril.)

Se usarmos o mês e o ano, a preposição usada é IN.

It's in April, 2021.
(É em abril de 2021.)

Como perguntar quando você nasceu em inglês?

When were you born?

I was born on March 22nd, 1999.

(Eu nasci em 22 de março de 1999.)

ou

I was born on March 22nd.

(Eu nasci em 22 de março.)

ou

I was born in March.

(Eu nasci em março.)

ou

I was born in March,1999.

(Eu nasci em março de 1999.)

Observe como dizemos os anos em inglês:

o ano é divido em duas partes, e escritas separadamente:

1500 =  fifteen hundred

1889 = eighteen eighty-nine

1995 = nineteen ninety-five

1907 = nineteen oh seven

2000 = two thousand

2005 =  two thousand five

2015 =  twenty fifteen

Como usar There is e There are

O verbo There to be significa haver ou existir.

1) É usado para indicar que algo existe.

Exemplo: 

There is a church near my house.

(Há uma igreja perto da minha casa.)

2) É usado para indicar quantidade.

Exemplo:

There are two dogs under the chair.

(Há dois cães embaixo da cadeira.)

3) É usado para indicar um evento ou atividade.

Forma afirmativa:

Forma Negativa do Simple Past Tense

Para formar uma oração NEGATIVA no Simple Past, usa-se DID NOT para todas as pessoas. 

DID + NOT posiciona-se sempre entre o sujeito e o verbo principal.

Exemplo do Verbo To Walk (caminhar)

FORMA NEGATIVA

I	did not walk
You	did not walk
He	did not walk
She	did not walk
It	did not walk
We	did not walk
You	did not walk
They	did not walk

Forma Contraída: 

DID NOT = DIDN'T 

Exemplo:

He didn't walk yesterday. 

(Ele não caminhou ontem.)
