SUBJECT PRONOUNS

Os pronomes sujeitos são usados antes de verbos e fazem papel de sujeito da frase.

Superlativo dos Adjetivos Curtos

O Superlativo dos adjetivos Curtos é formado da seguinte maneira:


THE + ADJETIVO + EST

tall (alto) 
the tallest (o mais alto)

old (velho) 
the oldest (o mais velho)

Exemplo: 
Sam is the tallest boy in my class.  
(Sam é o menino mais alto da minha sala.)

OBSERVAÇÕES:

1) Adjetivos terminados em acrescenta-se apenas o ST.

cute (fofo)
the cutest (o mais fofo)

nice (agradável) 
the nicest (o mais agradável)

Exemplo: 
Bob is the nicest man I know.
(Bob é o homem mais agradável que eu conheço.)

2) Adjetivos terminados em Consoante + Vogal + Consoante (CVC) dobra-se a última consoante e acrescenta-se EST.

big (grande)  
the  biggest  (o maior)

fat  (gordo)  
the  fattest  (o mais gordo)

sad  (triste) 
the  saddest (o mais triste)

thin (magro) 
the  thinnest (o mais magro)

wet (úmido) 
the  wettest (o mais úmido)

Exemplo:

3) Adjetivos terminados em -y precedido por consoante troca-se o Y por i e acrescenta-se EST

easy (fácil)

dirty (sujo)

heavy (pesado) 
the heaviest (o mais pesado)

tidy (arrumado/limpo)
