ADVERBS OF MANNER 

Advérbios de Modo são usados para nos dizer o modo como algo é feito.

Observe:
He plays the violin.

(Ele toca violino.)

Um advérbio de modo pode ser adicionado ao verbo (tocar) para modificar seu significado e nos dar mais informações sobre como ele toca violino.

He plays the violin brilliantly.
(Ele toca violino brilhantemente.)

He plays the violin softly.
(Ele toca violino suavemente.)

He plays the violin skillfully .
(Ele toca piano habilmente.)

Normalmente acrescentamos LY aos adjetivos para torná-los advérbios.

Exemplos: 

quick = rápido (adjetivo)         

quickly = rapidamente (advérbio)

serious = sério            

seriously = seriamente

fluent = fluente           

fluently = fluentemente

happy = alegre            

happily = alegremente

Observação 1:

Se o adjetivo terminar em IC acrescenta-seALLY para transformá-lo em advérbio.

Exemplos:

dramatic (dramático)

dramatically (dramaticamente)

artistic (artístico) 

artistically (artisticamente) 

Observação 2:

Se o adjetivo terminar em ABLE ou IBLE retira-se o E e acrescenta-se Y 

para transformá-lo em advérbio.

Exemplos:

lovable (adorável)

lovably (adoravelmente)

peaceable  (pacífico)

peaceably (pacificamente)

incredible (incrível) 

incredibly (incrivelmente) 

Observação 3:

Se o adjetivo terminar em Y troca-se o Y por I e acrescenta-se LY para transformá-lo em advérbio.

Exemplo:

easy (fácil)

easily (facilmente)

Observação 4:

Se o adjetivo terminar em L acrescenta-se LY normalmente para transformá-lo em advérbio.

Exemplos:

natural (natural)

naturally (naturalmente)
